A STAR IS BORN CHALLENGE
for Quilting with the Stars
Quilt Show 2010
Quilts were assembled using the challenge fabric and shown at the guild
December meeting. They are delightful!
Rules for Challenge were:
Make a baby quilt finishing
34 to 36 inches wide by 42 to 46 inches long.
The quilt must have a cotton top, back and binding with quilt batting
inside.
The challenge fabric must be used in the top.
The pattern should be suitable for a baby, and is to be kept secret from
other members.
The pattern may contain as many other cotton fabrics as you like, and all
preshrunk and colour fast.
All stitching must be done well with cotton thread, no invisible threads, no
buttons or embellishments that can catch tiny fingers or be pulled off. Pin
the name note with the challenge number on the quilt before turning it in.
(use a small safety pin)
Have Fun! These quilts will be displayed at our
upcoming Quilting With the Stars Show in May then will go to premature babies at Victoria
General Hospital. Thank you!
